Blackstone Hotel Starbucks

This Starbucks enjoys a prime Michigan Avenue presence in the beautifully restored historic Blackstone Hotel. The exterior and interior storefronts retain granite and marble cladding as well as intricate plaster moldings that date back to the original 1910 construction of this Chicago historic landmark building. Throughout the project we were required to coordinate both the interior and exterior design including materials, finishes and signage with the Commission on Chicago Landmarks. Low ceiling heights and clay tile construction in the floors and walls created significant challenges in running utilities to the space.
